On LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper

LightSpray is On's manufacturing breakthrough: a robotic arm sprays roughly 1.5 km of continuous filament directly onto the sole, forming the entire upper in one piece in about three minutes. No cutting, no stitching, no overlays, no plastic heel counter, no tongue and no laces — where a normal upper uses 20 to 30 separate pieces, this one uses none. The finished upper weighs about 33 g, and On states the process produces 75% fewer carbon emissions than its other racing uppers.

Underneath sits the Cloudmonster 3 Hyper platform: two densities of supercritical Helion HF — softer and springier on top, firmer below — with no plate at all.
