Nike Air ZoomX Alphafly Next 2%

The Alphafly 2 is the generation before the current racer, and plenty of runners still prefer it. The upper is a more substantial knit than the Alphafly 3's, the forefoot feels a little wider, and the whole shoe sits slightly more stable underfoot. It remains a genuine marathon racing shoe rather than a lightweight trainer.

Inside is the familiar combination: a ZoomX midsole, two Air Zoom pods under the forefoot and a full-length carbon plate. Runners who found the newest model too aggressive often land here instead. Use it for half marathon and marathon efforts and keep a separate trainer for daily mileage, which is how the line was always intended to work.
