Nike Reactx Wildhorse 10 Linen

Linen gives the Wildhorse 10 a soft, sand-coloured upper that wears well in town, which matters for a shoe many people use as their only pair of trail shoes. ReactX foam underfoot gives energy back without the wallowing feel of a very soft midsole, and the tread is pitched for dirt, packed earth and the occasional wet root.

Treat it as a year-round shoe for ordinary trails rather than mountains: forest paths, bridleways and gravel loops all suit it. The upper is breathable enough for summer yet holds shape in cold, damp weather. Pale colours pick up mud, so the shoe looks better for an occasional brush after wet runs through churned ground.
