On Cloudflow 4 W

The Cloudflow 4 is the lightest everyday shoe in On's road line-up, and this women's version keeps the quick, low-slung feel that earned the model its following. A full row of CloudTec pods compresses on landing, then the Speedboard plate inside the midsole helps roll the foot forward into the next stride, which gives the shoe a noticeably eager character on smooth tarmac.

It works best as the faster half of a two-shoe rotation, paired with something softer for recovery running. The engineered mesh upper sits close to the foot without pinching, and the flat laces stay put through quicker efforts. Road, track and firm park paths suit it well, and it is light enough to live permanently in a kit bag without taking up much room.
