It is light, relatively firm and quick to respond, with CloudTec pods that compress and release fast and a Speedboard plate that keeps the forward roll brisk through each stride.

Intervals on a track, tempo loops through a park and shorter road races all suit it, and it doubles as a travel pair because it weighs so little. The mesh upper vents well in summer, the heel collar is lightly padded, and the outsole rubber is placed to survive repeated fast turns on tarmac. Few shoes cover that much ground for so little weight in a bag.
