For runners who found the first Cloudmonster slightly unruly, the second version answers the complaint. The oversized CloudTec pods are still there, still soft on landing, but the shoe rolls through the stride more smoothly now. As a women's daily trainer it is aimed squarely at comfort across the bulk of a training week. The changes are subtle, but they make the shoe easier to live with.

Use it for the runs you are not trying to prove anything on, which for most people is the majority of them. The platform is wide and settled underfoot, the Speedboard prevents the cushioning from feeling formless, and there is enough room in the forefoot for feet to swell a little over a long run.
