Horizon and ivory split this women's Cloudsurfer Max between a deep blue upper and a pale midsole, one of the cleaner looks in the range. The ride is the reason to buy it, though. On's tallest Cloudsurfer build puts noticeably more foam underfoot than the standard model, and the sequenced CloudTec Phase pods keep that depth moving in one direction.

It is a long-run and recovery shoe first, happiest at conversational pace over an hour or more. The knit upper breathes and gives where the foot needs it, the platform is wide enough to feel settled when you tire, and the outsole rubber sits under the areas that actually contact the road.
