The Cloudultra Peak is the low-slung technical shoe in On's trail range, and deliberately the opposite of a max-cushion ultra shoe. A two-layer midsole pairs Helion HF hyper foam on top for energy return with standard Helion underneath for stability, a rock plate takes the sting out of sharp ground, and the Missiongrip outsole has its lug shape, orientation and density optimized specifically for steep terrain. The upper is Matryx — abrasion-resistant, breathable and hydrophobic.
