Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next 3% Ekiden

The Ekiden colourway nods to Japan's long-standing road relay, where teams split a marathon between them and every leg is run flat out. Nike's palette for the pack is soft and slightly retro, which makes for an unusually gentle-looking Alphafly 3. The shape underneath is unchanged, tall and aggressive, with the air units on full display.

Relay legs are short and fast, and the shoe suits that as well as it suits a full marathon. ZoomX foam, a carbon plate and forefoot Air Zoom pods reward a high cadence and a forward landing. If you race a lot of 10k to half marathon distances on the road, it will not go unused.
