This is the Kipchoge colourway of the Alphafly 3, tied to the marathon career that made the model famous. The palette is restrained and the detailing is subtle, which is in keeping with the athlete rather than the shoe. For anyone who has watched a Berlin or London marathon in the last decade, the association needs no explanation.

It is a specialist. ZoomX foam, forefoot Air Zoom pods and a full-length carbon plate make it fast and efficient at marathon pace, and less interesting at jogging pace.
