Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next 3% Volt W

Volt is Nike's signature fluorescent yellow, and on the women's Alphafly 3 it is about as visible as running footwear gets. It suits dark winter starts and televised finishes equally well. The last is the women's one, so the heel is narrower and the midfoot wrap sits slightly closer to the foot than on the unisex build.

Save it for racing. ZoomX foam and two Air Zoom pods sit around a full-length carbon plate, a combination that is most efficient at marathon and half marathon pace and noticeably less comfortable when you slow down. A handful of fast sessions beforehand is enough to get used to the plate and the height of the platform.
