Nike built the Mind 001 around a simple idea: vary the pressure under the foot and you engage the sensory system rather than numb it. Twenty-two oversized foam nodes line the outsole and move as your weight shifts; a stretch fabric footbed lies over them; soft foam carries the load underneath. It is a recovery tool in the shape of a mule.
