Nike's Mind Science department built the Mind 001 as a sensory tool, not a running shoe. Twenty-two oversized foam nodes line the outsole and move up and down against the sole of the foot as weight shifts, creating pressure variation designed to engage the foot's sensory nerves. Slip-on and open-backed, so it goes on in a second after a session.
