Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 41 SP

SP releases take a known silhouette and upgrade the materials, and this Pegasus 41 follows the pattern with a more considered upper and a restrained palette. It looks closer to a lifestyle shoe on the shelf than a training tool, yet the platform underneath is the same one that covers most runners' weekly mileage without any fuss at all.

Cushioning comes from ReactX foam, resilient and a little springier than the React midsoles it replaced, with Air Zoom units at the forefoot and heel for rebound. The fit is secure through the midfoot and comfortable at the heel. Run in it, wear it casually, or do both; it holds up either way on pavement and keeps its shape.
