Forty-one versions in, the Pegasus has outlasted most of the shoes it once competed with, and this is the standard build of that generation. ReactX foam replaced React for this era, giving a more resilient and slightly springier feel underfoot, and the Air Zoom units at heel and forefoot remain the detail that defines the Pegasus ride. The upper is engineered mesh with a padded collar and a midfoot that holds without pinching. Rubber coverage is generous where shoes actually wear through.
