Nike Reactx Wildhorse 10 Spruce Fog

Spruce Fog is a grey-green that looks at home among conifers, which is roughly where this Wildhorse 10 does its best work. The ReactX midsole keeps the ride lively over long distances, and the outsole pattern finds purchase on damp earth and slippery roots better than the shallow tread of a road-to-trail shoe would manage.

Use it through the wetter half of the year on soft forest floor, where drainage through the mesh is more useful than a waterproof lining. Water passes out quickly after a crossing instead of pooling inside. The forefoot plate keeps hidden stones from bruising, and darker colours mean the shoe still looks decent after a muddy winter.
