Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 41 Barely Green

Barely Green is a spring colourway in the plainest sense: a washed-out mint that looks right once the clocks change and the evenings start to open up. The Pegasus 41 underneath it is the same dependable daily trainer as every other pair, which makes the colour the only real decision here. It sits well with darker shorts and tights.

Nike keeps the formula sensible. ReactX foam carries the cushioning duties with a springier feel than the older React midsoles, and Air Zoom units at both ends sharpen the transition from landing to toe-off. Breathable engineered mesh is welcome as temperatures climb. For steady aerobic mileage through the warmer half of the year it is hard to fault.
